People who have been hoping and praying to get the Android marshmallow update on your Xiaomi device then your prayers are about to be answered.
As per a report by GizmoChina the update is in its final testing stages and should be roll out soon. It further goes on to add that the company is testing Marshmallow for the Mi 3, Mi 4 and Mi Note. This Marshmallow update will be rolled out to these devices through a new version of MIUI 7.
Xiaomi had released the MiUi 7 in August 2015 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. However, many fans were not too happy with the same. There were even concerns that some devices will be stuck at Android 4.4 KitKat. At that time, Xiaomi had assured its users by stating that users shouldn't be worried about the Android version as the features offered in the MIUI 7 would be the same on all devices.
Earlier in the month, there was a news report that Mi 4 and Mi Note smartphones will be the first to get an update to Marshmallow and now with the Mi 3 also making it to the list, it seems like the company is trying to get as many phones on Marshmallow as possible.
