NOKIA OZO VR CAMERA WILL COST $60,000

We found out about the Nokia OZO VR camera back in July but we had very less details - until now.
Announced in a ritzy Los Angeles setting, Nokia has opened up preorders for the OZO where for a large sum of $60,000 (about £40,000, AU$83,000), you get an OZO VR camera kit.
It's not aimed at the consumers - which has been stated before - and is instead for professional filmmakers or those interested in trying out VR film. Of course that means you'll be breaking the bank but Nokia is promising to deliver a camera unlike any before it.
The final specs of the device include the stereoscopic 3D video through eight synchronized global shutter sensors (that are 2K x 2K resolution per eye) and spatial audio through eight integrated microphones along with live monitoring in real time that allows an head mounted display to be plugged in to get the full effect. The VR camera can shoot at 30 frames per second while running on a rechargeable Lithium Ion battery. The OZO can also record 500GB solid state drive which is is about 45 minutes of footage.
Nokia will be shipping the OZO in Q1 of 2016 and will reach global markets later.
You're probably wondering how this affects you especially if you're not going to be spending a ton of money on a fancy camera. Well, Nokia's hope is that the Hollywood bigwigs will take an interest and in turn deliver amazing content to you.
After all, what's the point of owning an Oculus Rift, HTC Vive or PlayStation VR without solid content? Sure there are plenty of games in the making and more being added, but movies, streaming and virtual reality experiences are part of this new wave of immersive technology that you're going to want more of.
