Finnaly apple watch is available in india. Starting today, Apple Watch will be officially available for sale through Apple's retail channels across the country. It will be available in 2 sizes 38mm and 42mm.
The entry-level Apple Watch is the Sport model with a aluminum case, Ion-X glass over the display and and rubber-like fluoroelastomer band.
It costs Rs 30,900 for the 38mm size (measured by height), while it's a little more at Rs 34,999 the 42mm size. There are five colours to chose from.
The Apple Watch Edition starts from Rs 48,900 and the Apple Watch Gold Edition will cost Rs 8,20,000. The Apple Watch have 40 variants. Also the watch is highly customisable. There is also a wide range of straps to choose from but you need to purchase them separately and each would cost you Rs 3,900.
In India the watch comes pre-loaded with Watch OS2. To run Apple Watch you need to pair it with a device running iOS 8.2 or above.
A recent report by Canalys claims that Apple has managed to ship almost 7 million smartwatches since launch.
