ANDROID 6.0 RELEASE DATE IS OUT

With Google announcing the Android 6.0 update , many of us were left wondering as to when non-Nexus devices will receive the
update. Understandably, Google doesn't provide details on this as manufacturers have to work around an update rollout schedule that is suitable for them.
 So which manufacturers are first in line to send out an update? Read on for more.
HTC: The Taiwanese manufacturer might not be having a great time in the mobile industry, but has already hinted that a few of its devices will get the update by the end of 2015. The company has also scheduled an event for October 20, which will see the release of its first Android 6.0 powered smartphone.
 The HTC One M9, One M9+, One M8, One E9, One E9+, One ME, One E8, One M8 Eye, Butterfly 3, Desire 826, Desire 820 and the Desire 816 will apparently get the update first. Of course, timing might differ based on regions, but it's good to see that the company has already begun preparations for the update.
Samsung: While the company is yet to come out and share word in the public domain, a leak from not too long ago mentioned that Samsung was working on a major update for its current crop of flagships. It is said that the likes of the Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge and the Galaxy Tab A are in line to get the Marshmallow update.
Motorola: Historically, we've seen that Motorola devices don't have a lot of waiting to do for Android updates. This is largely due to the stock version of Android implemented by the company. While we're yet to get official confirmation from Motorola, it goes without saying that an update is on the cards. Expect the likes of the Moto X Play, Moto X Style, the 2015 Moto G, the 2014 Moto G and the 2014 Moto X to receive an update shortly. We cannot predict if the budget ranged Moto E will also get the update, but since hardware is not a concern, we don't see why it won't be updated.
LG: Amidst all the talk of updates, LG is not spoken about that often. But the fact of the matter is that the company was the quickest among non-Nexus manufacturers to send out the Android 5.0 update last year. So keeping that in mind, it is possible that we'll see the company's lineup getting updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow very soon. Handsets like the LG G4, G4 Stylus, G4 Beat, LG G3, G3 Stylus, G Flex 2, G Flex, G3S and a handful of others should be first on LG's list.
Micromax/YU: Knowing that Micromax has a variety of devices in the market, it's nearly impossible to tell which ones will get the update. A logical way to look at this is that high end offerings will get the update first followed by slightly cheaper models. Budget devices from the company will probably not see an update anytime soon.
 YU runs Cyanogen OS at heart, so an update to the latest version of Android is almost guaranteed as long as the Cyanogen team has the update ready.
Android One: Lava, Karbonn, Spice and Micromax have Android One devices in the market. These are considered to be low end Nexus phones meant for the developing markets. During the inception of Android One, Google promised to send out the latest software updates to devices for a period of two years. This qualifies all Android One handsets to receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. But again, the rollout will be at the discretion of Google and the manufacturers. If the Lollipop update rollout was any indication, we won't be holding our breath for Android 6.
